Kabardino-Balkaria increased milk production by 104%

In Kabardino-Balkaria, according to the North Caucasus Statistics Service, in 2020 agricultural producers of all categories produced 537.5 thousand tons of milk, which is 104.5% of the level of 2019.

The increase is ensured primarily due to an increase in the productivity of cows and the effective organization of selection and breeding work. Thus, in agricultural organizations, milk yields per cow increased by 12.6% compared to 2019 and amounted to 6334 kg.

At the end of 2020, the farms of all agricultural producers had 271.2 thousand heads of cattle, of which 134.8 thousand were cows. Compared to the same date of the previous year, there was a 1% increase in the number of cattle.

In 2020, in Kabardino-Balkaria, 151.3 million rubles of budget funds were allocated directly to increase productivity in dairy farming in the form of subsidies.
