Tourist flow to Kabardino-Balkaria increased by 30 percent

In the first half of this year, Kabardino-Balkaria received 459,000 tourists, which is 30% higher than in 2019, the press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the republic reports.

“Under favorable circumstances, we hope to reach 800-850 thousand people by the end of the year,” the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the republic, Murat Shogentsukov said. - I am glad that we are gradually moving away from the seasonality - the summer and winter tourist flow is leveled.

The demand for off-road recreation has grown, this type of transport allows you to see previously inaccessible sights, drive along the most picturesque passes, etc. The upper reaches of the Chegem Gorge, the Narzan Valley, Dzhyly-Suu are especially in demand. Trekking enthusiasts and climbers prefer Elbrus and Bezengi. An increase in tourists can also be observed in the capital of the republic - the city of Nalchik.
