In Adygea two solar power plants and a wind park have been put into operation

The Hevel group of companies has implemented an investment project in Adygea for the construction of two solar power plants. The "Adygeiskaya" power plant was put into operation on the territory of the village of Khanskaya and "Shovgenovskaya" - in the village of Mamkheg. At the moment, they are already generating electricity. This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Adygea.

Investments in the implementation of the project amounted to about 950 million rubles (13 million dollar). Shovgenovskaya power plant generates 4.5 megawatts, Adygeiskaya - 4 megawatts. The total capacity is not intended for wholesale consumption. The electricity generated by both stations will be sold at retail to network companies to compensate for losses in electrical networks.

The agreement on the construction of the republic's first solar power plant was signed at the Russian Economic Forum in 2019.

Another major green energy project was implemented in 2020. It is a wind power plant (WPP) with an installed capacity of 150 MW. It consists of 60 wind turbines of 2.5 MW each. It was built by the NovaWind company (a subsidiary of the Rosatom state corporation).

Let us remind you that the implementation of investment projects in the field of "green" energy in Adygea was discussed, in particular, at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov. It took place on September 22 via videoconference.
